PROACT Medical would like to wish all of our staff, suppliers and customers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The current financial climate has made the second half of 2008 a tough time for everyone. Despite this PROACT are excited about 2009 - starting with the launch of both their PCT and Medical catalogues in early 2009.

PROACT will be open until 1pm on Christmas Eve and will not open again until the 2nd of Jan 2009. However Emergency orders can be placed on the 27th - 30th of December and PROACT will endeavour to dispatch those orders.

Nonin medical continue to hit home the importance of using oximeters which meet the tough ISO 9919:2005 standards. All oximeters are tested against 9 main criteria, two of which are a weter ingress test, and drop test.

Long standing member of staff Jennie Brownlie has now became PROACT’s Product Manager. The role includes the vital task of collating the data and pricing information for PROACT’s annual catalogues. She will also retain the role of contracts and tenders manager and oversee the day to day running of the Marketing department. Everyone at PROACT congratulates Jennie on this promotion and wish her the best success.

PROACT have achieved it’s first major tender success in Europe, winning a major Airway Management tender in Sweden. Several changes to PROACT staff are taking place in the north of the country during February – with North East sales manager Liz Turnbull leaving the company, and being replaced with current North West sales manager Mark Surtees. Both PROACT staff and customers would like to thank Liz for all of her hard efforts during the many years she spent with PROACT, and wish her the best of luck with her future career.

Meanwhile, Philip Herbert will take over the North West region on behalf of PROACT. Phil has worked with PROACT in the past as a Service Engineer for several years, and also worked alongside other current PROACT employees in other roles. His wealth of experience and product knowledge will prove to be useful during his time at PROACT.

On the 3rd of Jan 2008, PROACT Medical had a major overhaul of its websites and e-mail facilities which also included moving hosting companies for the main website. During this time we experienced an e-mail service outage for around 24 hours. During this period we could not receive e-mails.

We apologise to customers who attempted to contact the PROACT team via e-mail and we are happy to announce that both the website and e-mail are once again working as normal.
