Hours Monday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm; Friday 9:00am-4.00pm
FULL TIME, Permanent, 37.5 hrs/week Oakley Hay Ind. Estate Corby
Participation in Company Discretionary Bonus Scheme from 01/9/22
Summary
This hands-on role will report to the Senior Product Manager and will be responsible for the development and introduction of new product offerings as well as the maintenance and management of well-established product ranges
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who can produce results under pressure. You will work hand in hand with all the teams within the company to provide accurate and useful information to help support sales growth and excellent customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience through the product development process and will have experience taking new products from inception to market. Ideally, with experience in medical devices, you will develop a keen understanding of the relevant healthcare market and of all of the features and benefits of your products

Main responsibilities
- To be responsible for key product ranges within the company’s portfolio
- Generate business cases, Designs and Specifications for new products & changes to existing designs for submission to the Senior Product Manager
- Perform testing on samples and prototypes to relevant ISO standards to ensure product viability.
- Generating technical test reports to summarise findings from testing procedures
- To work with the Senior Product Manager to define sales and marketing strategies for new and existing product ranges
- Regular Supplier liaison and Development Meetings which will need to be accurately minuted.
- To liaise with the graphics and marketing team to develop Brochures, Videos, Web information, Special promotions, Training and other marketing items meeting Company requirements
- To liaise with the graphics and marketing team and external suppliers to develop own brand packaging artwork / verify that packaging artwork meets necessary requirements
- Maintenance of the company’s PIM / DAM (Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management) systems for your responsible product ranges to ensure ongoing MDR regulatory Compliance
- Assist a specialised team with further development of in house PROACT PIM/DAM Systems
- Calculate margins, discounts and list prices for new and existing product ranges.
- Generate reports regarding costs and sales trends.
- Support sales staff through the provision of technical support and accurate product Information
- Perform product training and demonstrations for new products and changes to product designs/specifications
- Customer Liaison as and when required
- Maintain a thorough understanding of competitor’s products and identify new product opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Good mechanical hands on experience and ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and terms
- Several years’ experience working in a role that requires high level administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in technical report writing preferred.
- Strong numerical skills with an understanding of profit margins etc preferred
- Completely confident behind a computer – a strong understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential and experience with specialised software is preferred.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a technical product management role
- Experience working inside quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or 13485
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product design lifecycles.
- Experience in data analysis and manipulation using SQL based queries.
- Experience of working within the UK healthcare environment or under MDR / MDD
- Experience in communicating and working with manufacturing in far east
- HNC/HND/Degree level qualification in a design or engineering field or in a business administration/management field.
